Charter Procedures
Charter Reservations:
- Contact Treasure
Harbor Marine to check availability for the dates
requested. We will then hold those dates open for
7 (seven) days pending receipt of your deposit.
- Complete the application
and send it with 50% of the charter fee. Upon receipt,
THM will confirm your charter date by forwarding a
Yacht Charter Agreement.
- Balance of charter
fee (cash, traveler's check, cashiers check, visa/mastercard)
and applicable Security Deposit (cash, traveler's
check, cashier's check only) due upon arrival.
- THM Office hours
are 0900 - 1700 daily. Closed Wednesdays.
- THM charters boarding
begin at 1400 on the day of arrival. The vessel must
be cleaned and vacated by 1000 on the day of the return,
unless otherwise agreed to.
Check-Out/Check In Procedure
Check-Outs at Time of Departure
- Please come to the
THM Office for a briefing and pay the balance of the
Charter Fee and Security Deposit.
- Put all gear and
provisions on board (AFTER 1400).
- Complete inventory
checklist and review equipment operation with your
THM Representative.
- Skippers and crew
will receive a breifing on charts, operation in a
National Marine Sanctuary, anchorages, location of
marinas, fishing, diving sites, tides, etc.
Check-Ins Upon Return to the
THM Base: Yacht Must be Vacated by 10:00
- Dock at the THM
fuel dock and top off fuel tank.
- Remove all personal
gear, food and garbage from yacht. Clean and vacuum
interior. Soap and rinse decks and hardware with fresh
water. Put sailcover on. Hook up shore power cord,
turn all accessiories off (except battery charger,
if applicable), close all hatches. Bundle up any dirty
linens, towels, etc. for collection. Cleaning Service
available upon request.
- Notify your THM
Representative that you're ready to be checked-in.
- Review inventory
check sheet with your THM Representative. Any lost
or damaged items will be deducted from your security
deposit, normal wear and tear excepted. Please note
any damages or items which need repair at teh end
of your charter. This helps THM keep the fleet in
ship shape condition.
Cancellations
In the event of cancellation,
your deposit, less a $50.00 cancellation fee, will be
returned to you if if THM is notified at least 30 (thirty)
days before your scheduled charter. If less than 30
days, the deposit, less the $50.00, will be refunded
only if another charter is arranged for the same date.
These withheld amounts, not including service of $50.00,
may be applied toward another charter date, if booked
within one year. Rainchecks: By reason of unsafe weather
a raincheck will be given allowing rescheduling.
Security Deposits
A security deposit
is required on all charters, payable only in the form
of cash, certified check, or trveler's check prior to
departure. The amount of the security deposit varies
with the size of the yacht. The deposit will be returned
to the charterer within two weeks, less the cost of
replacing any lost or damaged items and the cost of
cleaning if necessary.
Overnight
An overnight stay
on the yacht the night before your charter begins can
often be arranged (space available) for an additional
charter of $90.00 confirmed 7 days prior to charter
departure.
Yacht Management
Many of the vessels
in our bareboat fleet are privately owned and managed
by Treasure Harbor Marine. The owners recieve income
and taxation benefits plus access to their own vessel
in this fabulous area. So, if you've been considering
purchasing a yacht, our programs are a superb "investment".
